Lori Schirle is an Assistant Professor of Research at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Her research interests include genetics related to postoperative opioid consumption, advanced practice nurse workforce and work environment, and health policy. She is currently the Principal Investigator on an NIH-funded study investigating genetic influences on postoperative opioid consumption in surgical patients, and is Chair-Elect for the AANA Foundation.
