Implementation of a Doctor of Nursing Practice Scholarly Project Toolkit to Increase Faculty and Student Satisfaction and Improve the Quality of Doctoral Projects (1 Class A CE)
Inconsistent expectations for the DNP scholarly project between schools of nursing have resulted in faculty and student frustration. A variance in the quality and rigor of DNP scholarly projects remains. Challenges faced by faculty and students and mechanisms to improve the quality of the final project were identified. A DNP Project toolkit was developed to communicate expectations of each phase of the DNP project and provide guidance for scientific writing, obtaining IRB approval, and literature search, among others. Faculty and students report decreased frustration in the DNP Project process steps after using the toolkit.
